If You Send Us Personal Information
The Maryland Music Academy will only collect personal information that you knowingly provide via email communication, registration, survey, on-line contribution, or other specific transaction in which you voluntarily participate. Inclement Weather Policy

Our basic policy is to match up with Howard County Public Schools:

  • If Howard County schools are closed, then we are closed and all lessons are cancelled.
  • If Howard County schools open late, then only lessons which begin prior to 3pm are cancelled.
  • If Howard County schools close early, then only lessons which begin 3pm or later are cancelled.

Cancellations that fall under this policy are not billed, and lessons should be rescheduled if possible. Any exceptions to this policy need to be clarified. If the teacher is present and ready to teach and a student is unable to attend, then the standard policy will be to bill the lesson and, when possible, provide a make-up.

For the status of Howard County Public Schools, please see the school system web page at: http://www.hcpss.org/

We will also post the official school status on our front page on days with questionable weather. This message is usually updated prior to 11am.
