Why Private Lessons?

There are many reason to consider taking private lessons when learning to play an instrument or learning to sing. Listed below are a few that we at The Maryland Music Academy, find to be the most important, and what really sets us apart from other music schools.

Personalized Attention

Private lessons at the Academy range from 30-minutes to an hour and are 100% focused on the student. Our instructors work one-on-one with each student providing them with the personalized attention they need to succeed. If a student has a question, or are struggling with a concept related to their instrument, they can feel comfortable asking the instructor, and knowing they are going to get an answer and get through whatever they are struggling with.

Access to Your Instructor (outside lesson time)

Students are provided with the contact information of their instructor(s) so that they can reach out and ask questions, share successes or acquire information when they need it. Our instructors respond promptly to phone messages and emails allowing students to make the progress needed in between lessons.

You Set the Pace

It is very important to us at The Maryland Music Academy to allow our students to progress at a pace that is comfortable for them. While we do push our students to do their best, and practice everyday, we make sure that they are grasping each concept as we go and we never move forward when a student is left behind or struggling with a concept.

Success Rate

The success rate of students who take private music lessons, compared to those who learn on their own or in a group setting, is astounding. Nearly 75% of privately training students will go on to be proficient in their art. Of that 75%, 50% of them go on to pursue a career in music.

Again, nothing beats the individual attention that private lessons provide. Register today!
