Have FUN learning to play ukulele! Fundamental skills can make learning other instruments easier.
Enjoy playing and singing in a group setting.

Instruction will be provided for nominal fee. Bring your own ukulele, or one will be provided for the class; take your instrument home for a small additional fee.

Total beginners are welcome, as well as those who already know how to play a bit. We’ll work on strumming simple songs, and there will be opportunities to sing for those who would like to practice accompanying their voice.

Students will learn the basic mechanics of ukulele including tuning, note names, simple strumming, chords, and a variety of contemporary and folk songs. We’ll also learn a bit about scales, technique, and easy music theory that goes along with playing the uke. Your ukulele should be soprano, concert, or tenor size.

Class daily Monday through Friday
Ages: 8 through adult

Course Tuition: $95 each week, includes book & loan of Uke

All sessions are held at the Maryland Music Academy, located in The Oak Run Business Center at 9143-B Red Branch Road in Columbia, MD.
